I agree to abide by the construction and by-laws of the local association to which this membership application is directed and to the State and National Association of Homebuilders with which it is affiliated. I understand I will be billed $400.00 for my annual membership fees. Of the amount remitted by me for annual dues $15.00 will be for a subscription to Builder Magazine (published monthly), and $10.00 for the bi-weekly Nations Building News (except for July, August, and December). This amount cannot be deducted from the total annual fee.

Dues payment to SCHBAT is not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes. Dues payments may be deductible as an ordinary or necessary business expense, subject to exclusion for lobbying activity. Portions of your dues are used for lobbying: 25% of dues for NAHB, 17% of dues for SCHBAT. $41.05 of the total dues is not deductible for income tax purposes. The statement above is not tax advice.
